Backhill Online

The Backhill magazine was a highly popular publication which ran from the early 70s and was seen as a way of holding the spreading community together. However in 1997 ever increasing print costs brought production to a close. In 2009 a Christmas special edition was created and very well received so the editorial team and other interested parties decided to reinvent the Backhill magazine and move it online.

They came to us with a plan, proposals and a request for money to get the project off the ground. This was approved and the grant given.

The community website includes a complete archive of the original magazine issues as well as many new ideas enjoying all the benefits of an online community website.

 

Backhill Online is currently looking for:

• Businesses to support it by advertising in their directory.

• Editors to run the site.

• Content contributors for the recipes, news and events sections.
